Get ready for a spooktacular afternoon as Ballymena Town Centre comes alive with Halloween fun on Friday 30 October 2026, with free activities, spooky characters, treats and a fantastic fancy dress competition.

Organised by Ballymena BID alongside Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, this family-friendly celebration features the return of the popular Halloween Trail, transformed for 2026 into the Haunted Harvest Treat Trail.

Families can begin their Halloween adventure at Tower Centre, collecting a free trail map between 12 noon and 2pm before exploring participating businesses around Ballymena Town Centre to collect Halloween treats.

There's plenty more to enjoy throughout the afternoon, including free Halloween face painting at Tower Centre, children's play buses and a sensory bus on Wellington Street, and spooky characters roaming the town centre.

Visitors can also enter the Halloween Fancy Dress Competition at Fairhill, with five winners receiving Ballymena Gift Cards following a public vote on the Ballymena Means Facebook page.

With activities for children, opportunities to support local businesses and plenty of Halloween atmosphere, this free event promises an enjoyable afternoon for the whole family.
