
Police have confirmed that the Portadown death following a vehicle fire on Saturday, 8 August, is not currently being treated as suspicious.
A post-mortem examination was completed on Monday morning. Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward.

The incident happened after police received a report of a car on fire in the Harford Street area of Portadown at around 10pm on Saturday.
Emergency services attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.
The body of a man was subsequently found inside the vehicle.
A post-mortem examination was completed on the morning of Monday, 10 August.
Following the examination, police confirmed that the man’s death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

Police initially launched an investigation after receiving the report of the vehicle fire on Saturday night.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended alongside police officers.
Ammunition Technical Officers were also sent to the scene as part of the initial enquiries. Police subsequently confirmed that there was no risk to the public.
Significant damage was caused to the vehicle. Windows at a nearby property were also smashed and scorch damage was reported.

Although the death is not being treated as suspicious, police enquiries are continuing.
