A new free community walking programme, Walking for All, has launched across Mid Ulster to help people get active, meet others, and improve wellbeing. Local residents are also being invited to become trained Walk Leaders.
People across Mid Ulster are being invited to take a step towards better health and wellbeing with the launch of Walking for All, a new free community walking programme.

They are designed to help people:
Walking for All is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
The programme is delivered by Outscape, a charity and not-for-profit organisation, in partnership with Mid Ulster District Council.
It forms part of a wider cross-border initiative that aims to establish hundreds of walking groups across local communities.
A key part of the programme is the recruitment of local Walk Leaders.
Matthew McNicholl, the newly appointed Walking for All Officer for Mid Ulster District Council, will support the development of walking groups across the district.
He is now encouraging local residents to come forward and help lead regular walks in their own communities.
No previous experience is needed. Full Walk Leader training and support will be provided.
