The weekly motorcycle gathering takes place every Wednesday night from 7pm at the Carrickfergus Castle car park and regularly attracts large numbers of bikers and spectators during the summer months.

However, social media has been flooded with reaction from people who were either attending or following reports from the scene.
One social media user, Caolan Sean Crowder, wrote:
“There was no need for it at all on what happened this evening even in public were everyone is watching you and even when kids are around to it was an nice wee bike event but I don’t think many people will come after that to be honest with you am not going to talk about that much but honestly no need!”
