On Wednesday 15th February, officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force conducted searches of two properties in West Belfast and Millisle as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected criminal activity linked to the West Belfast UDA.
During the operation, a number of items were seized for forensic examination, including a mobile phone, from the property in West Belfast. Detective Sergeant Gourley, who was leading the operation, emphasized that the searches were carried out in order to protect the local community from harm and disruption caused by the activities of criminal groups.
The Paramilitary Crime Task Force is committed to disrupting the activities of those who make their living from crime, and the searches and seizures demonstrate their dedication to tackling all types of criminality linked to paramilitaries.
Detective Sergeant Gourley also expressed gratitude to the local community for their continued support and encouraged anyone with information regarding criminal activity to come forward and report it.
