Police renew appeal following fatal Limavady collision

Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a fatal collision on Drumrane Road in Limavady last month. A woman in her 50s died following the collision.

Detectives investigating the fatal Limavady collision on Drumrane Road have renewed their appeal for information one month after a woman in her 50s died.

The collision happened at around 2.50pm on Sunday, 16 August 2026.

Police said a female pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car in the Drumrane Road area of Limavady. Officers attended alongside the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, but the woman died at the scene.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit said enquiries remain ongoing.

Detective Inspector Stewart said:

“Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any information that could assist with our investigation, including dash-cam or other footage, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 926 of 16/08/26.”

The PSNI previously confirmed that officers and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended following the collision.

Appeal for witnesses and dash-cam footage

Police want to hear from anyone who:

• Witnessed the collision on Drumrane Road.
• Was travelling through the area at around 2.50pm on 16 August.
• Has relevant dash-cam footage.
• Has CCTV, mobile phone footage or other information that could assist investigators.
