Police Appeal After Serious Two-Vehicle Collision in Comber

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a two-vehicle collision in Comber involving a black Mercedes and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

A two-vehicle collision in Comber has prompted a police appeal for information as enquiries continue into the incident on Newtownards Road.

The collision happened at approximately 2.20pm on Saturday, 5 September 2026 and involved a black Mercedes and a motorcycle.

Police officers attended the scene alongside personnel from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

Motorcyclist Taken to Hospital With Serious Injuries

The rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said his injuries are considered serious, although they are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the collision remain ongoing.

Police Appeal for Dash-Cam and Video Footage

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dash-cam, CCTV or other video footage from the Newtownards Road area, to come forward.
