Over £1m Worth of Suspected Cocaine Seized in Belfast as Five Men Arrested
Police have arrested five men following a major drugs operation in Greater Belfast.
Around 14kg of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of £1.12 million, was seized alongside approximately £15,000 worth of suspected herbal cannabis.
The five men, aged between 26 and 59, remained in police custody on Tuesday evening.
Five Arrested After £1m Belfast Drugs Seizure
More than £1 million worth of suspected cocaine has been seized in Belfast during a major Police Service of Northern Ireland operation targeting suspected drugs criminality.
Detectives from the PSNI Organised Crime Branch carried out a proactive operation across the Greater Belfast area on Monday 10 August and Tuesday 11 August 2026.
Police said approximately 14kg of suspected cocaine was recovered.
The drugs have an estimated street value of around £1,120,000.
A quantity of suspected herbal cannabis, estimated to be worth approximately £15,000, was also seized.
Enquiries into the seizures remain ongoing.
Five Men Arrested During Belfast Drugs Operation
Five men were arrested as part of the operation.
They are aged:
- 26
- 27
- 33
- 34
- 59
Police said the men were arrested on suspicion of several offences.
These include suspected possession of Class A and Class B controlled drugs with intent to supply.
All five remained in police custody at the time of the PSNI update on Tuesday, 11 August.

Police Warn of Damage Caused by Illegal Drugs
Detective Inspector Miskelly said families across Belfast do not want young people or loved ones to have their lives damaged by drugs.
He said:
“Families across Belfast do not want to see the lives of their young people and loved ones blighted by drugs.”
The detective said illegal drugs bring harm and control into communities while financially benefiting those involved in supplying them.
Police also issued a warning to anyone considering becoming involved in the illegal drugs trade.
Detective Inspector Miskelly added that officers would seek to identify and arrest those involved and place them before the courts.

Anyone with information about suspected drug dealing in their area has been asked to contact police.
Members of the public can call the PSNI non-emergency number on 101.
