NIFL also acknowledged the procedural error that resulted in the emergency general meeting being required.
The Board confirmed that it will commission an independent review of the process.
The review will produce recommendations aimed at preventing or minimising the risk of a similar issue happening again.
NIFL did not provide further information about the review’s terms of reference or expected completion date.
The NIFL Board thanked its member clubs for their support and commitment throughout the process.
It also wished the clubs moving into the National Conference League every success.
The new Conference League forms part of wider changes to Northern Ireland’s football pyramid.
Under the revised structure, the remaining Premier Intermediate League clubs will transition into the National Conference League, subject to meeting the required criteria.
