A 37-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences following a police investigation into an incident in the Knocksallagh Park area of Greenisland on Thursday, 8 October. He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 10 October.

Police investigating a reported assault in the Knocksallagh Park area of Greenisland have charged a 37-year-old man to court.

The charges follow an incident reported in the area on Thursday afternoon, 8 October.

Man charged with several offences

Police said the 37-year-old has been charged with offences including:

  • Breach of a restraining order
  • Criminal damage
  • Theft
  • Non-fatal strangulation or asphyxiation
  • Assault occasioning actual bodily harm

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 10 October.
