Man and Woman Released on Bail Following Newry Stabbing

A man and woman, both aged in their 30s, have been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Newry. Police enquiries into the incident are continuing.

Pair Released on Bail After Newry Stabbing

A man and woman arrested following a stabbing in Newry have been released on bail as police continue their investigation.

The pair, both aged in their 30s, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in the Woodhill area of Newry on Sunday, 6 September.

Police confirmed on Monday, 7 September, that both suspects had been released on bail to allow further enquiries to be carried out.

The arrests followed a report of an altercation at a property in the Woodhill area shortly after 6am on Sunday.

A man suffering from stab wounds was located inside the property.

Police Investigation into Newry Stabbing Continues

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police previously appealed to anyone who was in the Woodhill area at the time and witnessed what happened, or who may have information which could assist the investigation, to come forward.
