About this Event
Woven Music and Arts Festival Ballymena
Something new is taking shape in the heart of Ballymena.
Woven is a grassroots music and arts festival bringing together live music, visual art, creative installations, workshops and community activity for a day celebrating Ballymena’s growing creative scene.
Inspired by the town’s historic connection to the linen industry, the festival takes its name from the idea of different threads coming together — people, stories, culture, creativity and shared experiences.
A New Grassroots Festival for Ballymena
Woven has been created by Braid Rhythm Sessions, a collective of local artists, musicians and event organisers.
The festival grew from a simple idea: to create an event that feels genuinely connected to Ballymena and gives local artists, performers and makers a platform in their own town.
The programme brings together emerging and established talent, with local performers appearing alongside artists from further afield.

Celebrating Ballymena’s Creative Community
Woven is about more than individual performances.
The festival aims to create a welcoming space where people can meet, share experiences and celebrate the creativity already present across Ballymena.
By supporting musicians, artists, makers and grassroots organisers, Woven hopes to strengthen the town’s cultural identity and create new opportunities for local talent.
A New Tradition for Ballymena
Whether you are a dedicated music fan, interested in contemporary art or simply looking for something different to do in Ballymena, Woven offers a full day of creativity and community.
Come along, discover new sounds, support local artists and experience Ballymena from a different perspective.
Woven brings music, art and community together in what organisers hope will become a new annual tradition for the town.
