Woodcraft Demonstration at President Arthur Homestead, Cullybackey

Discover pyrography at President Arthur Homestead in Cullybackey on Saturday 24 October 2026. Sharon Weir from Rathbollen will demonstrate how controlled burning can create decorative patterns and designs on wood.

The demonstration runs from 11am to 3pm and offers a chance to see the techniques and care involved in this traditional craft. It is a free event, and the organiser says visitors can drop in without booking.

The venue is President Arthur Homestead, 21A Dreen Road, Cullybackey, County Antrim, BT42 1FX, near Ballymena.

For visitors planning a County Antrim outing, the session combines an introduction to woodcraft with a visit to a local heritage setting. Check the official event information before travelling, particularly for any last-minute changes, and contact the Homestead if you need specific access information.
