The 28th Maiden City Festival will take place from 31st July to 8th August 2026, offering a week-long celebration of the city’s rich history and vibrant cultural heritage.

Visitors can experience live historical re-enactments as key moments from the famous siege are brought to life along the historic city walls. The festival will also feature performances from traditional pipe bands, guided opportunities to explore the historic surroundings of St Columb’s Cathedral, and a range of social events including popular tea dances.

With a diverse programme designed to appeal to all age groups, the festival provides a wide variety of activities and entertainment throughout the week.
