Kids Go Free at Hillsborough Castle Gardens This Summer

Plan an affordable family day out in Royal Hillsborough this summer, with children receiving free admission to the gardens at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.

Families can explore 100 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland and outdoor spaces throughout the school holidays. Children can run, play and discover the grounds while adults enjoy the historic surroundings of one of Northern Ireland’s best-known royal attractions.

There is plenty for families to see and do during a visit to Hillsborough Castle Gardens.

Children can follow the outdoor play trail, enjoy a family picnic in the shaded woodland areas and look out for the wildlife that lives throughout the estate.

Families can also add more mischief to their visit by taking part in the Beano adventure at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.

Free Child Garden Tickets
Up to three free garden tickets for children aged five to 15 can be booked with each full-price adult or disabled adult garden ticket.

The free child admission offer is valid from Saturday 27 June until Monday 31 August 2026.

Children can also explore inside Hillsborough Castle for an additional charge of £5.50 per child.
