Elizabeth “Betty” Jackson – Andrew Jackson’s mother, whose strength and influence helped shape his early life
Rachel Donelson Jackson – Jackson’s wife and the great love of his life, whose death had a profound impact on him
Emily Donelson – Jackson’s niece, who served as White House hostess during his presidency following Rachel’s death
Together, their stories offer a fascinating insight into the private life of a man usually remembered for politics, military leadership and the presidency.
