Taking place from 2.30pm to 6pm, this informal afternoon is ideal for harp enthusiasts, musicians, craft lovers and anyone interested in traditional instrument making.

Discover the Craft of Harp Making
William Smyth will share his experience as a harp maker and explain the skill, creativity and craftsmanship involved in designing and constructing this distinctive instrument.

Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about each stage of the making process, from the initial design through to the completed harp.

Anna Smyth, a talented ceramicist whose work is being exhibited at Craft NI Gallery, will also demonstrate her harp-playing skills during the event.

Try Playing the Harp
Guests will be invited to try playing the harp for themselves, offering a rare opportunity to experience the sound and feel of this unique instrument.

The event combines traditional music, specialist craft and hands-on participation as part of Belfast’s Fleadh celebrations.
