Gulliver's Travels: A Creative Writing Adventure – Children's Workshop in Carrickfergus
Let your imagination take flight with Gulliver's Travels: A Creative Writing Adventure, an exciting four-day creative writing workshop for children aged 8 to 12 at Carrickfergus Civic Centre.
Inspired by Jonathan Swift's famous novel, Gulliver's Travels, this engaging programme invites young writers to explore extraordinary worlds, invent fascinating characters and create their very own adventure stories.
Led by local writer, storyteller and qualified teacher Vicky McFarland, the workshop combines storytelling, creative writing, drawing and interactive games to encourage imagination, develop writing skills and build confidence.
Using the Gulliver's Travels exhibition at Carrickfergus Civic Centre as inspiration, participants will discover how to bring fictional characters and creatures to life, develop exciting storylines and create imaginative worlds filled with adventure.
Throughout the four-day programme, children will have the opportunity to express their creativity in a welcoming and supportive environment while developing their storytelling abilities.
The experience concludes with a special showcase for parents and families, giving young writers the chance to share their creations and celebrate their achievements.
