Carnlough Heritage Hub – Local History and Heritage Exhibition
Discover the rich history of Carnlough and the Glens of Antrim at the Carnlough Heritage Hub, located in the historic Carnlough Town Hall.
Visitors can explore a collection of photographs, digital displays and printed images capturing local events, traditions, industries and everyday life from across Carnlough and the surrounding area.
Discover Carnlough’s Industrial Heritage
The Heritage Hub’s interpretation displays explore the industries that helped shape Carnlough and the wider Glens of Antrim during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The development of Carnlough Harbour
Maritime connections and coastal trade

From the Stone Age to the Industrial Era
The exhibition also looks further back into the area’s past, exploring settlement from the Stone Age through to the industrialists of the 19th century.
Visitors can learn more about the people who lived and worked in the area, and how the landscape, natural resources and coastline influenced the development of the community.

A Historic Venue
Carnlough Town Hall was built in 1856 as part of the infrastructure supporting the growth of the local limestone industry.
Today, the building continues to serve the community as the home of the Carnlough Heritage Hub and its local history displays.
