BMX Taster Session at Portavogie Urban Park
Build your confidence on two wheels with a fully equipped BMX taster session at Portavogie Urban Park, located behind Portavogie Community Centre.
This two-hour beginner-friendly workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to learn essential BMX skills, improve their bike control or become more confident using skateparks and pump tracks.
Professional BMX Coaching
Matt and the team from Thunder will deliver rolling workshops throughout the session, offering practical guidance and support to riders of all abilities.
Professional coaches will help participants develop their skills in a safe, welcoming and encouraging environment.
BMX bikes and helmets will be provided for those taking part, so participants do not need to bring their own equipment.
What You Will Learn
During the session, participants will learn:
Basic BMX bike-control skills
How to ride safely in skateparks
How to use pump tracks correctly
Proper skatepark and pump-track etiquette
Techniques to improve balance and confidence
