Anthony Toner Live at Down Arts Centre
Acclaimed Northern Irish songwriter and guitarist Anthony Toner returns to Down Arts Centre on Friday 20 November 2026 for an intimate evening of songs, storytelling and exceptional fingerstyle guitar playing.

Known for his warm live performances and finely observed songwriting, Anthony will revisit favourites from across his extensive catalogue, including Sailortown, The Road to Fivemiletown and Cousins at Funerals.

Songs, Stories and a New Lyrics Collection
The 2026 show will also celebrate a new book-length collection of Anthony Toner’s lyrics, published with support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

The collection brings together a personal selection of lyrics from across his career, from the writing that led to his debut album through to more recent material, including songs from Long Long Way.

Alongside the music, audiences can expect readings from the new collection, stories from the road and selections from some of Anthony’s favourite poets.
