Police have named 45-year-old Damien Paul Bintley from Holywood as the man who died following a collision in Clogher. The crash involved a white MG HS car and a Volvo lorry on the Crossowen Road. Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage.
A man who died following a collision in Clogher has been named by police as 45-year-old Damien Paul Bintley from Holywood.
The collision happened on the Crossowen Road at approximately 12.40pm on Friday, 31 July 2026.
Holywood Man Dies Following Collision in Clogher
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said the collision involved a white MG HS car and a Volvo lorry.
Police officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
Medical treatment was provided to several people at the scene.
However, Mr Bintley, who was driving the MG HS, died from his injuries a short time later.
Police Confirm Identity of Driver
Inspector Stewart, from the PSNI Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“We received a report at approximately 12.40pm on Friday afternoon, 31st July, of a collision involving a white MG HS car and a Volvo lorry on the Crossowen Road.
“Officers attended, alongside Northern Ireland Ambulance Service colleagues, and medical treatment was provided at the scene to a number of people.
“The driver of the MG HS car, 45-year-old Damien Paul Bintley from Holywood, sadly died from his injuries a short time later.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision in Clogher to contact investigators.
Officers also want to hear from anyone who may have recorded dash-cam, mobile phone or other footage in the Crossowen Road area.
Inspector Stewart added:
“We would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist with our ongoing enquiries.”
