A hit-and-run in Larne has prompted a police appeal for information after a teenage cyclist was injured in a collision on Wednesday 8 April 2026.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:40pm near the junction of Ballyboley Road and Donaghys Lane in Larne, within the Mid and East Antrim area.
According to police, the collision involved a cyclist and a white jeep-style vehicle.
The teenage boy was struck by the vehicle and knocked onto the bonnet before falling onto the road.
He sustained cuts and bruising and required hospital treatment following the incident.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly stopped briefly to speak with the injured cyclist. However, he then left the scene in the same vehicle, which is believed to have sustained visible damage to the bonnet.
