Living at Drumclay – Crannog Exhibition at Enniskillen Castle
Discover the remarkable story of Drumclay Crannog, a historic lakeside settlement near Enniskillen that was occupied from the early 9th century, with periods of activity continuing into the 17th century.
A major archaeological excavation carried out in 2012 uncovered one of Ireland’s most significant collections of early medieval and medieval rural artefacts.
The Living at Drumclay exhibition explores how people lived, worked and spent their leisure time on this Fermanagh crannog.

About the Exhibition
Living at Drumclay is a partnership exhibition between Fermanagh County Museum, Enniskillen Castle and the Historic Environment Division of the Department for Communities.
The exhibition offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore centuries of life on one of Fermanagh’s most important archaeological sites.
