Ballymena 400 Family Celebration and Fireworks at People’s Park
Celebrate 400 years since the granting of the Ballymena Charter with a special evening of family entertainment at People’s Park, Ballymena on Tuesday 25 August 2026.

This free anniversary event will bring the community together for live music, children’s activities and a spectacular fireworks display marking an important milestone in Ballymena’s history.

Live Music and Entertainment
The evening will feature live performances from:

Johnny Murphy School of Traditional Music
Rock Choir, featuring singers from Ballymena, Ballymoney and Jordanstown
The programme will offer a lively mix of music and entertainment in the build-up to the evening’s fireworks.

There will be plenty to keep younger visitors entertained throughout the event, including:

Face painting
Glitter tattoos
Walkabout magician

The evening will conclude with a fireworks display at 9.30pm, lighting up the sky above People’s Park as part of the Ballymena 400 celebrations.
