Ballymena 400 Civic Thanksgiving Service
Ballymena will mark a major milestone in 2026 with a special Civic Thanksgiving Service celebrating 400 years since the granting of the Ballymena Charter.
The service will take place at St Patrick’s Church, Ballymena, and members of the public are warmly invited to attend as the town reflects on four centuries of history, heritage and community life.
Celebrating 400 Years of Ballymena
Ballymena’s story has been shaped by generations of local people, businesses, churches, organisations and significant events.
The Civic Thanksgiving Service forms part of the wider Ballymena 400 celebrations, marking the 400th anniversary of the town’s charter and providing an opportunity to recognise Ballymena’s past while looking towards its future.
The evening will offer residents and visitors a chance to come together and reflect on the people, traditions and community spirit that have helped shape Ballymena over the centuries.
