

A 16-year-old boy from the Tipperary area has died following a two-vehicle collision on Belfast Road, Nutts Corner, on Sunday 26 April. A 10-year-old child remains in critical condition, and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward.
Police have confirmed that a 16-year-old boy has sadly died following a road traffic collision at Nutts Corner.
The crash happened on Belfast Road, Nutts Corner, shortly before 8am on Sunday 26 April 2026.
The collision involved a black Volkswagen Golf and a silver Volkswagen Passat.
Detective Inspector Stewart from the Collision Investigation Unit at the Police Service of Northern Ireland said officers attended the scene alongside emergency service partners.
A male passenger in the Passat, aged 16 and from the Tipperary area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Passat sustained minor injuries.
Two other passengers remain in hospital, including a 10-year-old child who is in a critical condition.
Police said the driver of the black Volkswagen Golf has been arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences.
The Belfast Road was closed while detectives carried out enquiries but has since reopened to motorists.
Police enquiries are continuing.
