Searching for a new home check out our property listings

Detectives from Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) have carried out four inspections of business premises in the Newtownabbey/Carrickfergus area on Wednesday 29th May.

During one of the searches two BB guns were recovered and have been removed for further forensic examination.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Corrigan said: “The inspections were part of an ongoing investigation into suspected criminality linked to the South East Antrim UDA.“Working with our partner agencies, we remain committed in our efforts to bring those who profit from criminality before the courts.

“We rely on combined efforts, including the support of local communities.  It’s crucial that any suspected illicit activity is flagged so that action can be taken, and I’m appealing to anyone with information to contact us on 101.”
