

Over 300 guests gathered at the Burnavon Theatre in Cookstown last night as Mid Ulster District Council hosted its prestigious Business & Environment Awards 2026.
The evening recognised the outstanding achievements of businesses, organisations and individuals who are driving economic growth while championing sustainability, innovation and community engagement across the district.
Hosted by local personality Lynette Faye alongside Council Chair Councillor Frances Burton, the event marked a major celebration of enterprise and environmental leadership in Mid Ulster.
The awards ceremony honoured excellence across twelve categories, highlighting the strength and diversity of the local economy.
