Tragic Death Following Incident in Markethill

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed the death of a man following a serious road incident in the Markethill area on Saturday, 12th July 2025.

The man, identified as 38-year-old Aaron Moffett from Portadown, sustained severe injuries after falling from a moving vehicle on Coolmillish Road just after 4.30pm.

Emergency Services Responded Quickly

According to Roads Policing Inspector Cherith Adair, officers from the Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene alongside emergency medical crews from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Mr Moffett was taken to hospital for treatment.

Tragically, he passed away on Friday, 1st August from his injuries.

Police Appeal for Information

Inspector Adair confirmed that the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

“We appeal to anyone with phone or dash cam footage, or any information that might assist our enquiries, to contact us,” said Inspector Adair.
