Man, 33, Charged With Murder Following Coleraine Investigation

A man aged 33 has been charged with murder as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of Wayne Reid in Coleraine.

Detectives confirmed on Sunday, 18 January, that the accused will appear before Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 19 January.

As is standard procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Others Remain in Custody

Police confirmed that six additional people remain in custody as enquiries continue. These include:

• One man aged 41
• Five women aged 19, 33, 38, 39 and 45

The investigation is being led by detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland, who say enquiries are ongoing.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning. At this stage, no further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident have been released.
