Man (28) Charged Following Discovery of Cannabis Farm

Police have charged a 28-year-old man to court following the discovery of a suspected Crossmaglen cannabis farm in the Lismore area on Friday, 30 January 2026.

The charges include:

  • Cultivating cannabis
  • Being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug
  • Possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply
  • Possession of a Class B controlled drug

The man is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 February 2026.

As is standard procedure, the case will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

A second man, aged 27, who was arrested during the operation, remains in police custody at this time.

Police have not released further details while enquiries continue.
