Following the report of ‘a device’ in Drumahoe, searches have been carried out.

Police in Derry/Londonderry are responding to a report of ‘a device’ in the Oeghill Hill Park area of Drumahoe. The report was received shortly after 10 pm on Sunday, March 5th. Searches have been conducted, but nothing suspicious has been located at this time.

Derry City & Strabane Superintendent Clive Beatty has urged the public to be vigilant and report anything suspicious in the area. He asked people not to touch or pick up any suspicious items but to immediately call 999. If anyone has information or saw anything suspicious in the Oeghill Hill Park area on the night of March 5th, they are requested to contact the police on 101, quoting reference number 1741 of 05/03/23.

The police are continuing their investigations, and the public is asked to cooperate and assist the authorities in any way possible.
