A Vision for Carrickfergus: The Return of the Result Tall Ship

Exciting plans are on the horizon for Carrickfergus, as concept art has been unveiled showcasing a bold proposal to bring the historic tall ship Result back home. The vision imagines Result becoming a history attraction and community events venue, enhancing the town’s waterfront with an iconic pairing of the castle and the majestic tall ship. Such a combination would create one of the most unique and breathtaking coastal views in the region.

It’s important to note that this is an early-stage concept, and several key decisions remain. A final location for the potential return of the Result will need to be agreed upon with Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, who own the land, and National Museums NI, who currently own the vessel. The concept offers a glimpse of what might be possible, but much collaboration and planning lie ahead.
