PSNI seized a quantity of suspected class B drugs worth an estimated £165,000

The Northern Ireland Police Service’s Auto Crime Team conducted a successful drug bust in Belfast on February 10th, 2023. After searching a vehicle, they confiscated a substantial amount of suspected Class B drugs valued at approximately £165,000.

Two men, aged 36 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class B drugs with the intent to distribute. The suspects are currently being held in the Musgrave custody suite and are assisting with the ongoing investigation. Additionally, a sum of cash was taken during a follow-up search of a property located in the city centre.

The investigation is being led by the Northern Ireland Police Service’s Organized Crime Branch. Detective Inspector Conor Sweeney stated, “Drugs of this quantity are invariably produced and supplied by organized crime gangs. They are criminals who prey on vulnerable people and exploit those addicted to their product for their own gain. The only thing they care about is profit.”
