Carrickfergus is set to come alive on the 8th of June with the highly anticipated Royal Landing 2024. The event promises a day filled with historical reenactments, vibrant parades, and a host of entertainment for all ages.
Parade Details:
The day will kick off with the grand Landing Parade, departing from Woodburn Playing Fields at 11:30 AM. Spectators can line the streets as the parade makes its way to Carrickfergus Castle Car Park, where the dramatic reenactment of King William III’s historic landing will take place at 1 PM. Following the reenactment, the parade will proceed to Marine Gardens for a well-deserved break at 2 PM. The festivities will resume at 4 PM as the parade heads back to Woodburn Playing Fields, concluding the journey around 5 PM.
Entertainment Lineup:
Families and children are in for a treat with dedicated entertainment and a food village located at the Castle Car Park starting from 11 AM. Throughout the day, Castle Green and the town center will be bustling with live music performances and additional reenactments, bringing history to life in a captivating manner.
