Appeal for Information Following Armed Robbery in Carrickfergus

Detectives are urgently seeking information regarding an armed robbery that took place at a commercial establishment in the Bridewell Drive vicinity of Carrickfergus on Monday, September 11.

Detective Sergeant Crothers has reported, “Around 8:50 pm, an unidentified male entered the premises armed with a knife. He proceeded to demand money from two female staff members present and subsequently fled with a sum of money.”

The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall, with a heavy build, and was attired in dark trousers, a zipped-up dark jacket, and a grey hooded top. During the incident, he was also seen wearing white trainers and a red-coloured mask.

Enquiries into the matter are ongoing, and the police urge anyone with information related to this investigation to contact them at 101, quoting reference number 2064 dated 11/09/23.
