Food is one of the biggest attractions at Belfast Christmas Market.
The market traditionally offers dishes and flavours from around the world, alongside festive favourites, sweet treats and hot drinks.
Whether you’re visiting for lunch, an evening out or a family day trip, there will be plenty of food stalls to explore.
The market also provides an opportunity to find Christmas presents outside the usual high street shops.
Visitors can browse stalls selling handcrafted gifts, decorations, artisan products and seasonal goods.
With more than half of the stalls operated by local traders, the event also offers a chance to support Northern Ireland businesses during the Christmas shopping season.
The market’s popular family attractions are set to return, including the vintage carousel and giant helter-skelter.
These traditional fairground attractions add to the festive atmosphere and make the market a popular destination for families with children.
Visitors planning to attend the opening weekend can also look forward to the Belfast Christmas lights switch-on.
The event is scheduled for Saturday 14 November 2026, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, at Belfast City Hall.
Unlike the Christmas Market, the lights switch-on is a ticketed event. Anyone hoping to attend should check Belfast City Council’s website for ticket information.
