£50,000 Worth of Drugs and Weapons Seized in Ballymoney and Armoy Police Searches
Police have seized an estimated £50,000 worth of controlled drugs, around £5,000 in cash and a range of weapons during searches in Ballymoney and Armoy. Two people were arrested, with one person later charged and remanded into custody.
Police Dog Isco also assisted officers during the operation.
Police seize drugs, cash and weapons in Ballymoney and Armoy
Police have seized around £50,000 worth of controlled drugs during searches carried out in the Ballymoney and Armoy areas.
Officers from the Ballymoney and Moyle Neighbourhood Policing Team joined members of the Black Tactical Support Group during the operation on Monday, 7 September 2026.
Police Dog Isco also assisted officers during the searches.
According to Police Causeway Coast & Glens, officers recovered a large quantity of Class A, Class B and Class C controlled drugs.
Police estimated the drugs had a combined value of approximately £50,000.
Around £5,000 in cash was also seized.

Police said officers also uncovered a significant number of weapons during the searches.

Police said the photograph released following the operation showed only some of the items recovered.
Two people arrested following searches
Two people were arrested as a result of the Ballymoney and Armoy police searches.
Police said one of those arrested was kept in custody overnight before being charged with a number of drug-related offences and a firearms offence.
The person appeared before court on Wednesday, 9 September and was remanded into custody.
Police did not provide further details in the social media update regarding the identity of the defendant.
Ballymoney and Moyle police say they will act on information
The Ballymoney and Moyle Neighbourhood Policing Team said officers would continue to act when information about suspected criminal activity is received.
The team covers a large geographical area across the Causeway Coast and Glens district.
