Wild Food Foraging Walk at Broughgammon Farm
Discover the wild food growing all around Broughgammon Farm on this guided foraging walk through the farm’s hedgerows, woodland, garden and meadows.
Led by Dermot from Forage Ireland and Becky Cole, gardener and herbalist at Broughgammon Farm, the experience will introduce visitors to the basics of safely identifying and foraging for edible wild plants.
Along the way, you’ll also learn about traditional plant folklore, natural remedies and some of the useful wild species that can be found growing on our doorsteps.
What to Expect
The walk begins at 11am and lasts approximately two hours. Visitors can enjoy samples of wild food at the beginning of the event before heading out to explore the farm.
After the walk, the Broughgammon Farm café and shop will remain open until 4pm, giving visitors the chance to stay longer and enjoy more of what the farm has to offer.
A great event for anyone interested in foraging in Northern Ireland, wild food, herbalism, nature, sustainable living and countryside experiences.
