Walk and Sketch at Downhill Demesne with Sarah Carrington
Join local landscape artist Sarah Carrington for a relaxed and creative Walk and Sketch session at Downhill Demesne, one of the Causeway Coast’s most striking historic landscapes.
With dramatic clifftop views, historic ruins and changing coastal light, Downhill Demesne provides plenty of inspiration for artists and sketchers. Using watercolour, acrylics and expressive mark-making techniques, you’ll explore the textures, atmosphere and weather of this remarkable setting.
Sketch the Causeway Coast Landscape
Throughout the session, the group will stop at a series of key viewpoints to observe and sketch the surrounding scenery.
Highlights include views of the Belvedere, Bishop’s Palace, Mausoleum and Mussenden Temple, with sweeping coastal scenery stretching out below.
Sarah will provide relaxed demonstrations along the way, sharing practical tips and techniques for capturing light, movement, texture and atmosphere with confidence in your sketchbook.
A Relaxed Creative Morning Outdoors
Following a busy summer, this session offers the chance to slow down and enjoy a peaceful morning of outdoor creativity in one of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable coastal locations.
The event is suitable for adults aged 18 and over.
