Wee Binnian Walking Festival 2026
The Wee Binnian Walkers will host their 2026 Hillwalking Festival from 11–13 September 2026, offering a full weekend of guided walks across the Mourne and Cooley mountains.
The festival gives walkers the chance to explore two spectacular areas of natural beauty, both rich in local history, folklore and dramatic scenery.
Experienced and trained walk leaders will guide a range of graded routes throughout the weekend, with options suitable for different abilities and levels of hillwalking experience.
Festival HQ:
Town Hall, Church Street, Warrenpoint, BT34 3HN
On Saturday evening, festival-goers can also take part in the popular Blister Boogie, featuring dinner, dancing and a chance to socialise with other walkers.
Walkers must register before joining a walk. Registration can be completed in advance through Eventbrite or at the festival base on Saturday 12 September or Sunday 13 September.
Whether you’re a regular hillwalker or looking to discover the Mournes and Cooleys with an experienced group, the festival offers a welcoming way to explore the region.
As event details, walk schedules and availability can change, visitors are advised to check the organiser’s official Facebook, Instagram or booking channels before travelling.
