Fundraiser Launched to Support Greg Following Incurable Brain Tumour Diagnosis

A Whitehead family has launched a fundraiser to support Greg and his wife after he was diagnosed with an incurable grade four brain tumour. The funds will help the family adapt their home and manage the major changes caused by Greg’s condition.

A fundraiser for Greg has been launched after a life-changing brain tumour diagnosis left him requiring round-the-clock care.

Christopher McAuley set up the appeal for his nephew, who has been diagnosed with a grade four glioblastoma. The fundraiser explains that Greg had gone to work as normal when his life, and the lives of those closest to him, changed without warning.

Greg Now Requires 24-Hour Care

According to the fundraiser, Greg is no longer able to work and now depends on others for his daily care.

His condition has left him unable to walk, climb stairs or complete everyday tasks independently. As a result, his wife has taken on responsibility for providing care 24 hours a day.

The family must also make alterations to their home so it can better meet Greg’s mobility and care requirements.

Christopher described Greg as a fun-loving person who was deeply loved by those around him. He said every day the family can spend with Greg is now cherished.

Fundraiser for Greg Will Help His Family Adapt

The fundraiser for Greg has a target of £2,600. At the time of writing, it had received 19 donations and raised £419. These figures may continue to change as more people support and share the appeal.

The money raised is intended to help Greg and his family cope with the practical consequences of his illness. This includes making changes to their home and supporting them as they adjust to a completely different way of life.
