

A 66-year-old man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act as detectives investigate the weekend attack on Dunmurry Police Station. Searches are continuing in east and west Belfast, and police are appealing for information.
Detectives investigating the Dunmurry Police Station attack have made an arrest.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Terrorism Investigation Unit arrested a 66-year-old man in the Dunmurry area on Tuesday 28 April 2026.
He was arrested under the Terrorism Act and taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
Police confirmed that a number of searches are continuing in both east Belfast and west Belfast as part of the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Police have repeated their appeal for anyone with information about the attack to come forward.
