Man Charged to Appear in Court Following Vehicle Tampering Incidents in Derry/Londonderry

A 28-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences following reports of vehicle tampering and criminal damage in the Epworth Street area of Derry/Londonderry on Saturday morning. He is scheduled to appear before Londonderry Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 9 March.

Man Charged After Vehicle Tampering in Derry/Londonderry

Police investigating reports of vehicle tampering in Derry/Londonderry have charged a man to court following incidents that occurred on Saturday morning, 7 March.

Officers received reports of vehicle tampering and criminal damage in the Epworth Street area of the city. Following enquiries, a 28-year-old man has now been formally charged.

The charges include:

• Three counts of criminal damage
• Interference with vehicles
• Tampering with a motor vehicle
• Theft from a vehicle
• Obstructing police

Court Appearance Scheduled

The accused is expected to appear before Londonderry Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning, 9 March.

As with all charges, the case will now proceed through the court process where the allegations will be considered.
