
A man and a woman have died after a two-vehicle collision on the Lurgan Road in Glenavy on 22 November 2025. Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to contact the Collision Investigation Unit.
A man and a woman have tragically died following a Glenavy road traffic collision, confirmed by the Police Service of Northern Ireland. The incident happened on Saturday, 22 November, shortly after 6.25pm.
Chief Inspector Simpson from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit said officers received a report of a crash involving a grey Skoda Fabia and a grey Cupra Formentor on the Lurgan Road.
Emergency services attended, but sadly, the two occupants of the Cupra Formentor were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Skoda Fabia was transported to hospital for treatment. No update on their condition has yet been provided.
The Lurgan Road remains closed, with diversions in place at Pigeonstown Road while officers continue to examine the scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and follow local diversion signage.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam or mobile footage, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1121 22/11/25.
