Serious Crash in Downpatrick Leaves Two Men in Hospital

Police are appealing for information following a serious one-vehicle collision in Downpatrick on Friday night, 12th September.

The crash happened shortly after 10pm when a silver BMW struck a stone pillar on the Ardglass Road.

Both the driver and passenger, two men, sustained serious injuries. They were taken to hospital by ambulance, and their conditions are currently described as critical.


Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers investigating the collision are urging anyone who may have seen the incident or captured it on dash-cam to come forward.


Road Safety Reminder

This incident highlights the dangers on rural roads such as the Ardglass Road in Downpatrick. Police continue to encourage drivers to take extra care, especially at night.
