Man Arrested After Suspected Cannabis Factory Found in Banbridge

Police Seize Suspected Cannabis Plants in Banbridge

Police have arrested a man and seized a number of suspected cannabis plants following a search at a residential property in Banbridge.

Officers attended the property in the Bishops Green area shortly after 9pm on Tuesday, 9th September. During the search, police uncovered suspected cannabis plants along with cultivation equipment.

Man in Custody Following Arrest

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of:

• Cultivation of cannabis
• Abstracting electricity
• Criminal damage

He remains in custody at this time, assisting police with their enquiries.

Police Appeal for Information

Sergeant Shortt confirmed that officers remain at the scene to continue enquiries and urged the public to come forward with any information that may assist.
