Large Drug Haul in Rural North Coast Following Police Raids

Police have seized a substantial quantity of illegal drugs, including over 3.6 kilograms of cannabis and cannabis resin, following coordinated searches of properties in Coleraine, Bushmills, and Ballymoney earlier today.

The operation was carried out by officers from the Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) with support from the District Support Team (DST) and the Tactical Support Group (TSG) due to the scale and complexity of the multi-location raids.

Seized Items Include:

  • Over 3.6kg of Cannabis and Cannabis Resin
  • A quantity of Class A drugs (Cocaine)
  • A quantity of Class C controlled drugs
  • Multiple Cannabis Resin vapes, each containing approximately 1 gram of resin
  • Drug paraphernalia, including deal bags
  • A quantity of criminal property

Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

One male suspect was arrested and cautioned on suspicion of several drug-related offences, including Possession of Criminal Property. He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Photographs shared by police show the seized cannabis, pre-packaged for apparent street-level distribution, along with the cannabis resin and drug paraphernalia.

Police Statement

A police spokesperson said:

“These seizures highlight our ongoing commitment to disrupting illegal drug supply in our communities as part of Operation Dealbreaker. The seizure of such a significant amount of drugs and related materials is a positive step in keeping our streets safer.”

Community Support Vital
