

A major £1 million investment is currently underway at Carrickfergus Amphitheatre, with the venue’s Spa area undergoing a significant refurbishment aimed at transforming the leisure experience for the local community.
The upgrade reinforces Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s long-term commitment to providing modern, accessible, and high-quality leisure and wellbeing facilities in Carrickfergus.


The Spa area has now closed to the public to allow essential refurbishment works to proceed. Once complete, visitors can expect a revitalised, contemporary environment designed to enhance relaxation, recovery, and overall wellbeing.
The project is progressing as planned, with completion scheduled for June 2026.

The spa refurbishment complements the Fitness Suite, installed in 2023, which introduced state-of-the-art equipment and has proven extremely popular with members and visitors.
Together, the upgraded fitness and spa facilities strengthen the Amphitheatre’s position as a leading leisure and wellbeing destination in the borough.
